Description
The MTCA.4 standard will be widely used in the machine control system of the XFEL. Our electronics development group FE at DESY has developed a FPGA-based readout module (DAMC2) interfacing dedicated μRTM modules for several applications in this field.
To simplify the FPGA-Firmware development of different control applications a framework has been developed which covers most of the peripheral interfaces of the board and allows the user to concentrate on the application related interfaces and algorithms.
This talk will give a short overview about current digital developments in our group and illustrates the framework with two user applications under development.
