The 2024 International Workshop on Baryon and Lepton Number Violation (BLV2024) will be organized by the Institute for Astroparticle Physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and take place in Karlsruhe on October 8-11, 2024 at KIT Campus South.

After Berkeley (2007), Madison (2009), Gattinburg (2011), Heidelberg (2013), UMass (2015), Cleveland (2017), Madrid (2019) and Brussels (2022) this will be the 9th edition of this workshop.

The main topics of this workshop are:

  • Neutrino physics
  • Baryogenesis mechanisms
  • Baryon number violating processes
  • Lepton number violation in low energy processes
  • Lepton flavor violating processes
  • Baryon and lepton number violation at colliders
  • Dark matter

and it covers a wide range of BSM physics, with both a theoretical and an experimental component.

The preliminary schedule for the conference is to start on Tue, 8 Oct 2024, 9:00 and end on Fri, 11 Oct 2024 at lunch time. We will offer the possibility to  visit the KATRIN neutrino mass experiment on Friday afternoon. There is no conference fee.

Oral contributions are by invitation only, but we welcome abstract submissions for contributed talks (subject to approval), especially for early career researchers. Abstract submission deadline is 30 June 2024.

WARNING: if you get contacted by an "agency" or "company" offering some services related to your participation, please do not reply and ignore such messages.  They are scam, we have not engaged any company related to BLV2024.

This workshop is supported by the KIT Center Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics (KCETA) and by the Collaborative Research Center Particle Physics Phenomenology after the Higgs Discovery
