The Changing-Atmosphere Infrared Tomography Explorer CAIRT is one of two candidate missions for ESA’s Earth Explorer 11 satellite. CAIRT will for the first time observe the atmosphere from the troposphere to the lower thermosphere (about 5 to 115 km altitude) with simultaneously high spatial and spectral resolutions to provide a 3D view of atmospheric processes and composition at unprecedented scales.
This survey aims to obtain feedback from the wider community on how CAIRT data will be used and the CAIRT data products that will be of interest to different users.
ESA's Earth Explorer 11 (EE11) user consultation meeting will take place on 9 July 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic and is planned to support the final selection of one of the two missions to enter development as Earth Explorer 11.
