Update from Markus:

  • CuW status:
    • 30 additional CuW sheets have been ordered through KIT. This is a bit more expensive (~15%) because it was in lower quantity. We don't expect price changes for build orders

    •  In currently have in the workshop 16 sheets remaining, this should last us until mid-May

  • Ti status:
    • All CEH design files for baseplates have been updated
    • For the 14 Ti sheets, 10 will be sent to industry for heat treatment, will be cutting some CEH-Partials with the remaining plates
    • 500 CEH-Full plates to be order through industry to help bridge the gap of when Madras is able to deliver bulk amounts of Ti plates. This still has a lead time of ~8weeks
  • Kapton status:
    • All CEH design files for Kapton has been updated
    • Need to check with Bernd the status of the 650 CEH-Full Kapton that has been
    • Will have a follow-up discussion Tuesday (Mar 18th) of what needs to ordered through KIT to cover us until the CERN order goes through

Update from Jay:

  • Will be designing new alignment jig for the Keyence machine (speeding up measurement time)
  • Discussion with Tobias about vacuum pickup tool to avoid scratching the Glass (we are currently going though the protective sheets at ~1 sheet/week)
  • All Keyence measurement programs has been updated and should now be faster.
  • All shipped products will be uploaded to the central database on Monday (NTU was requesting this information)

Update from Yi-Mu:

  • Production is going smoothly at ~10 plates/day
  • Discussion of technicians is going OK, will need to talk about expectations of product.
  • HiWi training is going well, most knows how to course correct if something goes wrong.
  • Scheduling HiWi/technician next week if possible to see if there are unforeseen impedance mismatches with different personnel matching.
  • Ramp up requirement:
    • Curing shelf. Items has been sent to the workshop. Still needs machining and assembly.
    • Scheduling of personnel needs to happen earlier with Stefan.

Outcome of workshop discussion:

  • They won't cut more CuW
  • Will send off the Ti plates for annealing
  • Will cut some partials from the Ti if possible
  • Will cut some dummies out of Al
  • Will order 500 Ti Full plates from industry
  • Need more materials to finish shelf for clean room.
    • Main missing material are for the slide out shelves and weights.
    • We only need 24 shelves for the initial ramp up test. We have asked if this partial request can be completed sooner with existing material
    • Lead time of material purchase will be ~2weeks.
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.

      Notes:

      • 18 Full sheets of CuW left (each fits 5 full plates)
      • All Keyence programs revised after talking with Susanne
      • Still need input from LLR about how / what to measure on the CuW partial tabs
      • Ti drawings have switched to contour tolerance.
      • Can Prafulla measure the contour of his pieces?
      • Test pieces of the Ti for Zoltan ?
      • Test pieces for setting up the Keyence program
      • Alignment jig for Keyence (because the area available to the height measurement is very limited, and the metals scratch the protective cover / glass)
      • Kapton order?
      • Ti order?
