The Summer School on Recent Advances in Materials Development will address the synthesis, structural characterization and determination of structural and functional properties of advanced materials. The lectures will provide an overview of the different approaches towards achieving advanced materials, including the digitalization of materials development, which incorporates more and more large-data approaches, computer-based modelling and artificial intelligence concepts. The material selection will contain novel (multi-)functional materials and materials for quantum computing and technologies. Other areas of application of the advanced materials are in energy storage and conversion and in printed electronics.
