KATRIN Colloquium First Results on the Neutrino Mass

The measurement of the mass of the neutrino, an elusive elementary particle dubbed the cosmic leight-weight, has just been significantly improved by the initial results of the international Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino Experiment KATRIN. This colloquium gives details to the public on these freshly released, first results of the KATRIN experiment.
