Main meeting

Main Collaboration Meeting 6th-8th March. As usual we will have our 2 1/2 day main meeting covering the status of the setup, strategic devolpements and data analysis. Proposals for talks have to be sent to markus.steidl@kit.edu and katharina.fischer@kit.edu.
Thu and Fri there is the possibility to have satellite workshops and other meetings.

Analysis Workshop Thu. 9th Mar 2016

A full day workshop on "Analysis topics" will be held on Thu 9th Mar 2016.

Topics of the workshop are
(i) Preparation of KATRIN analysis software & methods for data-taking
(ii) Data quality,
(iii) Review & treatment of systematics and (iv) early physics aims with first tritium data (1 eV nu-mass sensitivity, keV sterile search).

The workshop is coordinated by Kathrin Valerius, Susanne Mertens and Diana Parno.

SDS 3 Workshop Fri. 10th March 2016

This 1/2 day workshop will provide time to discuss the results of the first part of the SDS3 measurements ("first light+") including first background measurements at the pre-spectrometer, investigation of the Penning trap between the spectrometers and the results of the 212Pb contamination of the main spectrometer. The second objective or the workshop is to plan the measurements of the second part of the SDS3 measurements which will take place after a bake out of the spectrometers (presumably in summer this year).
