The Julius Wess Award 2016 is presented to Prof. Dr. Robert Klanner, DESY and University Hamburg, for his outstanding achievements in the development of particle detectors, in particular by his fundamental contributions to silicon microstrip detectors, including the first demonstration of the reconstruction of secondary vertices from the decay of heavy-flavoured hadrons.
The ceremony will take place on March 3, 2017 at KIT, Karlsruhe.
