For the hands-on tutorials on deep learning bring your own laptop. All you need is a web browser (e.g. Mozilla). Please register in advance on https://vispa.physik.rwth-aachen.de and access https://colab.research.google.com/github/DeepLearningForPhysicsResearchBook/deep-learning-physics/blob/master. You should also have programming expertise with Python https://github.com/graeme-a-stewart/python-introduction, and have some familiarity with Matplotlib to produce histograms https://matplotlib.org/stable/tutorials/introductory/quick_start.html (includes corresponding Jupyter notebook at bottom of page).
The workshop is intended for scientists from all ErUM communities with prior knowledge of neural networks. However, it is not required that the first Deep Learning Course on "Basics Concepts" has been attended.
