Tutorial 2: Machine Data Insight Tutorial based on a Real Scenario from the SmartFactoryKL Project

Description
Base for this tutorial is a real problem observed at SmartFactoryKL, the leading partner in one of the five Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Centers of German Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). Together with its partners, SmartFactoryKLhas developed the world’s first manufacturer-independent Industrie 4.0 plant and has been exhibited its progress at each Hanover Industry Fair for the past years.
At one of the first fairs, a sporadic motor outage of the transport system occurred at different production modules. It appeared that when two transport belts got in contact the motors of the two adjacent modules became overloaded and burned out. During the overload, increased energy consumption of the two modules was observed. The tutorial investigates exactly this situation based on data generated from the modules of the SmartFactoryKLproduction line and predicts the next failure appearance for a specific module.
