Tutorial

Found neither the ffmpeg nor avconv executables. On OS X, you can install ffmpeg via `brew install ffmpeg`. On most Ubuntu variants, `sudo apt-get install ffmpeg` should do it. On Ubuntu 14.04, however, you'll need to install avconv with `sudo apt-get install libav-tools`. Alternatively, please install imageio-ffmpeg with `pip install imageio-ffmpeg

Organization of discussion sessions

This is how it will work:

  • Please choose a discussion topic by writing your name in the corresponding table [link here]
  • We should try to distribute evenly, so no more than 6 people should be in a discussion group. If a table is already filled with names, please choose another one.

Preparation of discussion session - Monday 15:50-16:50

  • You will join your selected discussion group
  • The group leader will introduce the topics and guide you through the proposed questions
  • You will work together in the Google Doc and gather information on the proposed questions / discussion topics

Discussion session - Tuesday 15:30-18:00

  • The group leader will present all the information gathered on the discussion topics of their group (we can screenshare the Google Doc to save time)
  • We will all discuss together and try to draw some conclusions

Additional information

  • We will all use the Google Doc to gather interesting information, from which the workshop proceedings will be derived. If you want to prepare already to get the most out of the discussion, you can already edit the document and add links, text, questions, comments, illustrative images.
  • Google Doc editing rules:
    • Unless you are the group leader (who will moderate content), do not erase other people’s text
    • Feel free to use the comment functionality if you have questions or want to start a conversation
    • Only add content that adds value to the discussion topic
    • If you feel you can contribute to another discussion topic too, feel free to do so
