The 2nd HAP workshop "Big Data Science in Astroparticle Research" will be held 19.-21. Feb. 2018 at the RWTH Aachen University (SuperC).
We invite contributions to discuss applications of deep learning in astroparticle physics challenges. Special interest is on suited architectures and their hyperparameters. If you want to present your network architecture as a hands-on tutorial, talk to the organizers. Also interesting are contributions on why networks produce certain answers (causality), on verification procedures, and on uncertainty estimations.
We further encourage contributions on open data access, software access, analysis preservation, and on community structures such as data centers, platforms for algorithms & network architectures, education material.
We will also discuss national and international strategies and perspectives of big data science specific to astroparticle physics.
Access to the agenda of the 1st workshop (Feb. 2017) can be found here.
