How to be a Kind and Happy Researcher

Training Details:

Duration: 2 hours.

Target audience: Well-suited for early career researchers (PhDs and postdocs), generally applicable to the broader academic staff.

Number of participants: max. 20 

 

Training Objectives:

First, I will discuss the four pillars of a kind and happy research life: pursuing meaningful goals, maintaining a positive mindset, building strong relationships, and practicing kindness always. Then, I will review specific tactics designed to increase happiness and kindness.

With this program, you will learn how to:

• Promote a culture of kindness and compassion within the research community.

• Enhance individual well-being and mental health by providing strategies for managing stress and maintaining a positive mindset.

• Foster support among researchers.

• Develop self-care practices and resilience-building techniques to navigate the challenges often associated with the research process.

 

Training Methodology:

My training approach emphasizes an interactive and participatory learning experience. The first part of the training will be a presentation with the opportunity to exchange on the material and asks questions. The second part will allocate time for participants to practice with exercises. Attendees will gain actionable insights and develop skills that can be immediately applied in their research endeavors.

 

Trainer Qualifications:

I possess a strong background in research and have successfully conducted similar training programs for academic institutions and research organizations. I am known for my engaging teaching style and ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
