General information
An excellent source of information for traveling by train in Germany is provided by the Deutsche Bahn. Apart from providing information about their own services they also give information about most train connections in Europe and many local trains and buses in Germany.
To get to Bad Herrenalb, enter "Bad Herrenalb" directly as your end destination. This will get you to the local station "Bahnhof Bad Herrenalb". Your journey will almost always take you there via Karlsruhe Main station where you get by long distance train (ICE). The onwards journey goes via local train "S1" through the Albtal towards Bad Herrenalb.
Walk to Haus der Kirche
Whichever means of transportation you choose, you will arrive at Bahnhof Bad Herrenalb. From there you walk a few hundred meters to Haus der Kirche. Here you find the final way on OpenStreetMap. Note that the height lines mark 10 m of elevation each, i.e. the last bit goes up by about 40 m.
Arriving by train
Your journey will almost always take you by train with Deutsche Bahn via Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) where you get by long distance train (ICE). Arriving by plane
For traveling to Bad Herrenalb there are several airports to choose from, that might be more convenient for some people, among those are

International hub with many direct connections for intercontinental flights. This is probably the best option for most people, particularly as the long-distance train service ICE leaves directly from the airport. - Karlsruhe Baden-Baden

Stuttgart Airport is a medium size airport with many international connections mainly within Europe.
