    Cloud basic concepts; Cloud provisioning; Cloud types; Infrastructure-as-a-Service ( IaaS ); public and private clouds; Platform-as-a-Service ( PaaS ); cloud computing; scalability and elasticity; provisioning and automation; cloud deployment and maintenance; cloud computing patterns; grid middleware flavors; middleware installation and adminstration; security in distributed environments; distributed information systems and discovery.

  • Big Data and Large Storage Systems

    design of high-perfomance storage solutions; distributed file systems; big data and large scale data management; NoSQL databases; scientific data life cycle.

  • Effective programming and multi-core computing

    advanced programming concepts; multi-core programming tecnniques; multi-threaded programming; scientific programming methods; statistical analysis techniques; cuncurrency; optimization algorithms.
