HOW TO REACH KARLSRUHE
The nearest airports for long-distance visitors are Stuttgart, Frankfurt, and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden.
- Airport Stuttgart: Take tram line S2 or S3 to Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart, then change to a train to Karlsruhe (for exact times of departure, please refer to the train schedule of German Rail).
- Airport Frankfurt: The long-distance train station is located directly in the airport. Once you get there, take a train to Karlsruhe (for exact times of departure, please refer to the train schedule of German Rail).
- Airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden: The buses available at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport will take you to the train stations of Rastatt or Baden-Baden where you will find trains leaving to Karlsruhe. The Baden-Airpark?Express line will take you to Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof.
We recommend the use of Airport Frankfurt since it has the easiest connection via train to Karlsruhe.
MEETING LOCATION
KIT is distributed over several locations in Karlsruhe. The Kick-off event will be held at KIT Campus North, approximately 12 km outside of the city center.

Please note: Access to Campus North is restricted and only pre?registered visitors can enter. The management team at KIT will take care of the registration for all team members before the meeting.
Campus North can be reached from the city center via:
- Taxi (fastest and easiest option), Approx. 20 min. (we will organize a shuttle between the recommended hotels and Campus North)
- Tram (lines S1 and S11): direction Hochstetten, from Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof to stop «Leopoldstaße» in Leopodshafen, change there to bus line 195 with destination KIT Campus North ‐ South Gate, Approx. 50 min.
- Train (line 9): direction Mannheim, from Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof to stop «Blankenloch», change there to bus line 195 with destination KIT Campus North ‐ South Gate, Approx. 25 min
ACCOMMODATION
Please book the hotels on your own. We recommend two hotels, from where we can organize a shuttle to the meeting location at KIT Campus North. You can find these hotels under the subpage "Hotel Recommendations" (see menu bar on the left hand side).
