Description
The CITAR project (Citing and Archiving Research) aims to develop a new scientific service for long-term archiving and reuse of the research environments. Reproducibility of research data, on which scientific publications are based, stands for the project on the foreground. Archiving of virtual research environments can unsure that scientific experiments even after a long time from the first execution can be completely reconstructed and repeated with the same results.
The project is focusing on the area of High Performance Computing what brings on the developed tools certain requirements in terms of security, usability, easy adaptability and high integration to the already existed scientific workflows.
The poster contains information about chosen research data preservation technologies, discusses problems and perspectives of the virtualization and containerization approaches regarding HPC, shows current progress status and further challenges of the project.
