Tarte Flambée Evening

Tuesday 18:30, at the Steinbuch Centre for Computing

Meet old and new friends alike at the GridKa School opening event. On the evening following the first tutorial session, you can enjoy food and drinks at this informal get-together. Taking place at the Steinbuch Centre for Computing, this also offers the unique opportunity to visit our High Throughput and Supercomputing facilities.

We traditionally serve Tarte Flambée - a speciality of the Alsatian and neighbouring regions, including Karlsruhe. Alongside a range of non-alcoholic beverages, there is also Beer and pretzles, of course. Several guided tours allow you to visit and learn about our major computing facilities, the ForHLRII and the GridKa Tier-1.

Event Location and Access

The Steinbuch Centre for Computing is situated on the KIT Campus North compound. A short stroll of roughly 5 to 10 minutes takes you from the School venue to the event location. We will assemble and lead all participants there after the evening tutorials. Please bring along your badge to gain access to the Campus North compound!

After the event, a shuttle bus is available to take you back to the conference Hotel.
