Tutorials and SDIL Account Registration
Since the tutorials will be carried out on the actual SDIL infrastructure, you need a special SDIL account. The following three steps are needed to get your SDIL account:
1. Activate your KIT guest and partner account
This step can be skipped if you already possess a valid KIT account
We created a KIT Guest and Partner account which needs to be activated. You should have received a PDF document with all the relevant information. Please follow the PDF guide to activate the guest and partner account.
2. Register for the SDIL services
Please, visit the SDIL registration page.
When asked for your credentials, please select "Karlsruhe Institute of Technology" and proceed. On the next page, put in your KIT account name (e.g. ab1234) and the password for this account. Please keep in mind, that you just changed the password for you Guest and Partner account in step 1.
3. Set your SDIL service password
Please, visit
https://bwidm.scc.kit.edu/service/set-password.xhtml?ssn=sdil
and enter your KIT password twice to set a SDIL service password. A more detailed description about the registration is available in section 2.2.2 of the SDIL user guide. After the approval of your registration, you will be informed via email.
Please note, that for all SDIL related communication your KIT email address (written in the attached PDF) will be used. You can use the email webinterface to access your KIT mails.
4. Getting support and preparation for the tutorial
In addition, we would like to remind you to bring your own laptop to the tutorial. To avoid delays during the tutorials, please try to access the SDIL infrastructure in advance following the description in section 2.3 of the SDIL user guide.
