At the end of scientific program on Wednesday we offer a small excursion trip to Durlach and the panorama terrace Turmberg. Durlach is known for its old charm, cobblestone streets and lovely parks. To the east of Durlach is a hill from where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of Karlsruhe.
The excursion is voluntary and for those who would like to spend more time together and see more of Karlsruhe. The estimated duration is ~2 hours and the walk to the hill and back down is ~3 km. We will take a tram together to Durlach from Durlacher Tor - KIT Campus Süd (10 minute walk from the meeting location). If you save the receipt for the tram ticket, KIT can reimburse you for this. We will also end in Durlach, from where you can take a tram back to Karlsruhe city or make dinner plans with other participants. Durlach offers a great variety of restaurants, in particular with German or Greek food.
