Public Transport:
Karlsruhe has a great network of trams managed by KVV. You can buy tickets on your phone by using the KVV.regiomove app or the Fairtiq app or at the stations. You can also purchase 1-day tickets that are beneficial if you travel more than once per day, see more here (1 Wabe will cover all of Karlsuhe city and Durlach).
The stop closest to the conference location is either Durlacher Tor/KIT-Campus Süd or Kronenplatz. Note that Kronenplatz has both an underground and overground station and they are differentiated by a (U) for underground.
Your tickets can be reimbursed if you submit the receipt in paper version with the reimbursement forms (see more under Information for Participants).

ZKM | Center for Art and Media - If you have extra time during your stay in Karlsruhe ZKM is a wonderful place to visit. It is a museum of new media & contemporary art, including video, audio & interactive installations. Currently, ZKM is hosting the exhibition "(A)I Tell You, You Tell Me" amongst other temporary and permanent exhibitions.

Karlsruhe Palace and Schlossgarten - Located right by KIT Campus South, you will almost inevitably see Karlsruhe Palace on your way. Schlossgarten offers peaceful walks around the lake, the botanical garden or further into the forest.
