III International Workshop "Data life cycle in physics", DLC-2019

The Workshop is organized jointly by ISU, SINP MSU (Moscow) and will take place in Irkutsk State University.

The workshop is aimed at discussing problems related to research and development of systems to support scientific research throughout the life cycle of experimental data from large scientific installations.

The main topics, but not limited:

1. Architecture of distributed data storage for large scale setups.
2. Intellectual methods of data analysis for experimental physics.
3. Data management during data life cycle.
4. Metadata management in physics experiments.
5. Outreach of knowledge.
6. Open data science in physics.

One focus of the workshop is the German Russian Initiative of a Data Life Cycle in Astroparticle Physics.

The working language at the Workshop will be English.

Contributions and Proceedings

Talks will be selected by the Program Committee on the basis of abstracts to be submitted before March 20th, 2019. The Workshop proceedings will be published online in CEUR-WS , following a peer review of all contributions.

Social program

The Organizing Committee is planning to arrange an excursion to the Baikal-GVD neutrino telescope on 5th of April.

Application

Visas

The Local Committee will provide visa support for registered participants. To obtain the invitation for the Russian Entry Visa, please fill the Visa invitation form (one per each applicant) and send it to Local Committee together with a copy of the travel passport. Please mention in the subject of the letter if request is intended for a participant or for an accompanying person. In order to receive the invitation in time to obtain the Russian Entry visa, the participants are kindly requested to submit the application(s) before March 1st, 2019.
